The surface of friction bolt should be smooth, without serious tension and corrosion. Welds shall be free of cracks, no slag hole, and shall not be allowed to burn through the pipe wall. The tray should move freely on the rod body. The tensile strength of the ring weld is greater than 80kN, the ultimate tensile strength of the rod body is greater than 110kN, the initial anchor force is greater than 25kN/m, and the carrying capacity of the tray is greater than 65kN.

In the process of transportation and storage, friction bolt should be protected from dampness, pressure and collision. Before installation, check the length of friction bolt, whether the diameter matches the rock hole. The wind pressure of rock drill must not be less than 4 kg/cm 2. When installing, the center line of drilling machine, friction bolt and rock hole shall be on the same line. The rock hole should be 50~100 mm longer than the friction bolt. After the support plate is attached to the rock face, the drilling machine shall not continue to impact the end of friction bolt.

Friction bolts should not be cut or struck at will in order to speed up installation, which will result in weak anchorage force and reduced service life. In addition, the friction bolt requires a high level of drilling, so when there is a problem with the drill bit, the drill bit should be changed in time for the consideration of the bolt.
